Thaumont 15th 1,000 AC
The “Shooting Star” show last night was particularly lovely. I couldn’t help but tell Adriana that I feel we are blessed as we are not livestock farmers. More Rumors abound:

  • Thaddigren Dentiata sometimes entertains strange visitors from afar and often hires messengers to take packages to distant corners of the world.
  • A pack of enormous wolves guards the tower of Thaddigren Dentiata, but they won’t attack anyone who tosses them meat.

Thaumont 26th 1,000 AC
We had another “eclipse” yesterday. That is what Adriana is calling them. She read in one of the books she picked up from the local city that when the sky goes black during the middle of the day it is called an “Eclipse.” My wife is the smartest person I know. During the eclipse, the Rogoz farm animals went missing. Since it was during the day, he had not locked them up for the night yet.

Thaumont 28th 1,000 AC
The Gnomish Carivan passed through town on its yearly route. It passes though Sisak on the way to Radlebb Keep. From there they return to Highforge. Every Day of the Dead the Carivan comes through. The locals use this time to clean out their houses, remove anything that they no longer need, or want.

If the objects are in good condition, they try to sell them to the gnomish caravan, who sometimes, will take them back to Highforge and sell them. If they are not, then they burn them in a big fire in the center of the town. Everyone sits around the fire and drinks and eats in memory of those who have passed this last year.

Vatermont 14th 1,000 AC
Today we started the long work of repairing roads and trails damaged by the winter. I have begun to collect the rumors I hear about our neighbor, the Wizard. And will share some of the more interesting ones, here:

  • Dentiata has a big tiger that eats people!
  • If you’re bad, Dentiata will get you!
  • Skelly, the stableboy, went there all alone! He could beat that mean old Dentiata if he wanted!
  • Dentiata is a powerful, evil wizard.

Vatermont 27th 1,000 AC
Casimir Zbons has been telling the town of several occasions when a mysterious unrelenting sleep came over him. When he awoke, more animals were missing. Of course, when more livestock went missing today, that was his reasoning. Still more rumors have been spread about this:

  • Dentiata is from the Black Eagle Barony, and is sending the animals there for slaughter.
  • Weird lights can be seen dancing on the tower roof every night of the full moon. (I have not seen them, but others claim they have)
  • Dentiata is actually a werewolf and roams the forest as a great gray wolf every night with a full moon.

Numont 1st 1,000 AC
The new year’s celebration was very tense, as a few days ago, Burr Silecz lost a large number of animals. Nobody moves around at night near the end of the month anymore. Too many animals are disappearing. Mikail told me that the children saw some strange people visiting the Wizard’s tower the night before the animals went missing. One had the flag of the Black Eagle Barony on him.

Numont 3rd 1,000 AC
Last night our purple star returned. There was also some strange lights coming from the Tower.

Numont 25th 1,000 AC
Yesterday the sky went dark again, it was only for a moment. But combine that with the fact that last night the Kruschneh farm was raided. It doesn’t seem to matter how we lock the animals in, or what precautions each of us take. Dire wolves have also been seen in the area, which frightens the farmers. I took a stroll, being a retired soldier, I figured I would be safe. The locals would never ask me for help, but I still want to help. And I found the wolves, they only seem to wander near the Tower, almost like they are guarding it.

Today I heard from Vlademar, the Vlem boy, that our Wizard neighbor keeps a female vampire as a slave, and that it is she who is killing the livestick. She comes on a New moon, when it is darkest and takes enough animals for a month’s worth of blood.

I don’t believe this anymore than I believe Dentiata is a werewolf, but just in case I have been escorting Amber home to Runa’s Hovel after each tutoring session.
